About me

I am an amateur photographer with a main interest in nature photography. Details, forms, light and colours in the landscape often catch my eye. Wildlife and birds are also interesting subjects. When I take nature photos I use professional photographic gear and always a tripod. But I try to carry as little weight as possible. Often just one camera house and three lenses. A wide, a normal and a tele photo lens. Going on longer photo journeys an extra camera house is brought along.
For exercise I often take a walk in my hometown Uddevalla and then almost always carry my little digital compact camera. Many of the Uddevalla pictures in the gallery are taken with this simple camera.

I was born in 1962, grow up in the village Torup in Halland in the southwestern part of Sweden. 1989 I finished my Master of Science degree in computer engineering at Chalmers University in Gothenburg. After that I moved to Uddevalla, a small town at the northern  westcoast. I work as a computer engineer in the nearby town Trollhättan.
